If I upgrade to MC 11 ?
« on: December 29, 2004, 07:21:46 am »

I am considering upgrading to MC 11.  I have a registered MC10.  I may need to upgrade to get support for a Zen Xtra.

If MC 10 does not support it I will need to go to 11.  There are some third party packages that support the Zen Xtra nicely.
I want to try the 3rd party SW and compare its functionality to the MC 11.

If I upgrade to 11 can I go back to 10 without paying again and how much does it cost to get to 11 with license?

You can have both MC 10 and MC 11 at the same time if you install them in separate folders. Therefore, you can always switch back to MC 10 if you wish.

What respects to the price, take a look at this:

Hope it helps,

Take into consideration, though, that the databases of MC10 and MC11 are not compatible.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but this means that any changes made to your database with MC11 will not be backwards compatible with MC10 should you decide to switch back to it.

He is correct, But if the info is saved to the tags, a re-import, or Update database from tags will update the database.
