Internal Volume only works for some media?
« on: January 27, 2005, 03:02:25 pm »

I have the volume control set to internal volume. Does anyone know why the volume slider disappears with some media files but works properly with others. For example I get a volume control with :

http://www.kuow.org/multi.asx

but not with :

http://128.208.34.90/ramgen/broadcast/live.rm

or local rm files like one installed with real player:

C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\Firstrun\audio.rm

Internal volume is only available for audio played through MC's native 32-bit audio engine.  This includes WMA, MP3, APE, OGG, WAV, and several others.

Real Audio and QuickTime files are exceptions.
