MC 11: Crash On Delete Bug
« on: January 21, 2005, 04:41:36 pm »

We've heard a few reports of MC 11 crashing when deleting files, but we can't reproduce it.

We're hoping for some more details, like:
  • Does it matter what you're looking at? (library, playlist, etc.)
  • Does it matter if you're deleting from disk vs. just removing from the library?
  • Does it matter what Action Window, split view, or other thing you have open?
  • Can you reproduce it with a clean, temporary library?

Thanks for any help.

It happened for me when deleting files from a smartlist view.  Deleting the same files from the library view does not cause the problem.  In this case, my smartlist was: podcast [Rating]==1

If people that can reproduce this could answer my questions from the first post, I think it might help.

Thanks.

Able to reproduce when attempting to delete a file which actually does't exist on disk (been moved or deleted manually).

We're still unable to reproduce this on our end.  Any more clues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
