Last character of song title is missing
« on: October 21, 2002, 07:11:47 am »

Player window does not display last character of song title or artist/album. This happens only if the character is accented. I use encoding for eastern Europe.

plas,

I have a lot of é, è, à in my library and no problems !
Only using APE tags in .APE or .MPC.

Just wondering, wouldn't it be a field length problem ? This is quite common with ID3v1 tagged mp3 files ??

CMagic,

The problem has been also reported by Zevele and I confirm it myself. It is only in the player window when the last caracter is iso-latin.

Ok, I see,

Just tried with Gilbert Bécaud - Un peu d'amour et d'amitié
and you're right the last char is not displayed.

Then MJ has a problem but do you think it's the war ??

Well plas, sorry for my stupid comment about tags.

It was a joke as another recent thread reports also an iso-latin problem.

I've experienced the same problem in some builds.

I've also noticed a few builds ago that MJ couldn't store tag information if the last character in the title or the artist was an accented vowel... I posted the problem but didn't receive any answer, then I gave up. It seemed as if MJ looped writing to the hard disk until a no space condition was reached.
