Help, Missing 'Audio' viewscheme
« on: March 04, 2005, 03:04:13 am »

I have somehow deleted the 'audio' viewscheme under media in the tree view.  There was nothing actually under it in the tree so I didn't lose anything, however, theatre view will not work anymore.  If i click on audio in theatre view it starts playing all tracks...

If i click on the musical note icon on the top right to isolate only audio then the audio scheme magically reappears.  When I then go back to all media it is gone.  I tried to create a new 'audio' viewscheme, but MC just renames it audio(1), so it knows that the real 'audio' is there it just refuses to display it.

This is only a problem in relation to theatre view, as it will only display things that are under the global category 'Audio'.  I have like 25 customized viewshcemes for audio alone and I don't feel like recreating them.  Does anyone have a solution for this?  The only thing I can think is to be able to designate your own global categories in theatre view.

thanks

If you right click on "Media Library" in the tree, you can re-set the view schemes to default.  You may also be able to just Add a view scheme.

Thanks for the replies marko and jimh.  I do have a backup but it is from 4 days ago (last time I imported anything)  So I could roll back to that  but I was hoping to be able to just re-add the viewscheme somehow...

It is kind of weird, I hate to say bug but I think that the program is trying to do something, (stop people from doing stupid things)  but when you delete the global audio it doesn't replace it in the view all scheme just the audio scheme.  Maybe there is a reason for this but I can't really figure it out.

All of the other methods work, ie reinstalling, setting viewschemes to defualt etc, but that would lose all of my custom view schemes.

thanks again guys
