Renaming properties from file ~scheme ?~
« on: March 28, 2005, 07:07:28 am »

IS there a way to use renaming scheme from the following file name? I have been messing around with it but can't seem to get it right. I tried [Comment] - [Album] - [Track #] - [Name] - (Artist)  and some other variants.

Various Artists - Put On Your Best Dress _ Sonia Pottinger's Rocksteady 1967-1968 - 05 - Swing And Dine (The Melodians) .ape

Maybe I did try that as it isn't working.

I also tried this

[Comment] - [Album] - [Track #] - [Name (Artist)]

because the filename structure on these files is:

Various - Tougher Than Tough_Forward March 1958-1967 (Disc 1 of 4) - 02 - Boogie In My Bones (Laurel Aitken) .ape

Shouldn't there be a way to pull out the appropriate info from the parentheses here?

The way to do it is:

[Comment] - [Album] - [Track #] - [Name] ([Artist])

I'm pretty sure I tried that and I get an error; I'll go double check now.

thanks
