ByteStar: Problem burning with MC11
« on: April 22, 2005, 09:34:01 am »

Burn errors!
MC11 does not react any longer if album/mixes from cue file to be burned is.
The moreover MC11 does not recognize any longer an erasable blank is inserted.
The data medium must be deleted then in a separate program.
Normal burn from arranged songs seems to function.

Could you please explain in more detail what is going wrong? Please give a sequence of steps to reproduce the error.
Thanks!

if i have a "mix" that is with a cue file then it cant be burnt.
mc11 crashes/freezes and nothing happens.

Burn an mix from cue !
That is everything which man still sees then freezes mc11 and man must start it again.

i have posted this issue a few times, just like the fact that mc11 finds cue files several times, and it finds them with every time i search again, and it imports them again, and then the track is more then once in the library.

http://www.mynetcologne.de/~nc-bauerro7/screenshot1.png

All files from one album/mix are doubly to 3 subject present and with each import procedure are again added.

If man tries the interpret in one mixes to change/meet passes the following.  MC11 changes the interpret directly in the Mp3 to cue belonged.  Edited however not the cue file which to this error message leads

As discussed previously cue file support is not perfect yet. I hope JRiver team has time for fixing the remaining issues after MC11 is out.

In the meanwhile you could convert the cue tracks to separate wave files and burn them from a temporally folder.

EDIT

You could import new cue files by selecting them in Windows Explorer and right-clicking. (Media Center > Import). Don't include those folders later in your imports.

EDIT 2

I think it was possible to burn Audio CDs when the cue support was introduced. I think I tested that by myself. I have to check my old posts. I guess something has changed.

That is unfortunately no alternative it leads to audible error in the transitions.
Why can the program somewhat cue play which it not burn cannot???

So I have a normal audio CD from 19 titles burned with 16x, and starting from title the CD of jumps and misfires have 17

Nero Burning Rome and Windows Mediaplayer burn these files perfectly thus are audio CD fuel function in the mc11 defectively!

I don't know about the skipped tracks problem. I have never experienced it. I hope JohnT can help.

About the cue issue I would like add this: The current cue support is not useful for gapless burning of audio CD disc image files. MC has only virtual links to certain parts of the disc image files in its library. Burning those virtual tracks would be effectively the same as converting to wave and burning the separate wave files. Of course you could use MC for burning the big disc image files as they are, but only without the track markers.

Currently you have to use dedicated programs for burning full albums gaplessly from cue sheets, for example: Nero, CDRWin or EAC.

Ok one however why freezes mc11 245/246 if the import terminated is or man a cue album tried to burn.  Build 11,0,200 e.g. brought still another error message!  Can't start the write!
