Easier to navigate (once you get used to it).  Wonderfully customizable view schemes.  Smaller system resource footprint.  Smartlists.  TV tuner.  TV recording.  Audio and video playback.  Ratings.  Broader format support (does mmjb play ogg and ape?).  Media server.  CD Burning capabilities.

Better customer support.

Did I miss anything?

Last time I used MM was about a year ago on a friend's system.  I found it to have a glitzy interface that got in my way.  And I found it limited my ability to create lists based on complex rules (I'm not sure I even found a rule capability).

It was like driving a shiny PT Cruiser instead of a Formula One car.

More like a Bradly GT as opposed to a big honking simple pickup truck. ;D

Good answers guys - I've been playing with MJ for a couple of days.  I must say I do like it.  I haven't tried anything major like running the media server yet.  So far though I do give it a thumb up.

For me it's two things.  Smartlists in MJ are really powerful and let you sort, organize and create playlists based on almost any criteria you want.

Formats and plug-ins.  MJ supports a ton of formats, and if there is one that it doesn't (say FLAC or AAC), you can usually add it because MJ can use Winamp 2 plug-ins.

John

Let me try to illustrate the difference between MJ and MMJB :

Ok, in the andromeda constellation there's a galaxy that's 2 million light years from
our very own milky way. The light that comes from it was sent 2 000 000 years ago !
You see ? Then double that distance, multiply by 1O and add the number of threads in this
forum and you'll get the distance separating MusicMatch from MJ !
That's a loooong way and a very long time in the past !

Plus, consider that with MJ you got quite a bunch of people on this forum ready to help,
tell a joke or write silly things
:D

all the best with your MJ xperience !
