I bought two songs and burned them to CD. I then when to rip them to MC but since they weren't a complete album, MC of course didn't know what they were. I just assumed they were listed in the same order as they were burned so I entered the names and information for each. After they were imported, I entered the lyrics and cover art. Everything was perfect. Then I went to play them.

Turns out that I had messed up the order so the tagging was swapped. I looked and hoped that there was something with the library tools to fix this. Move/Copy Fields looked promising but that was only in the same file. I even hoped there was maybe an export to XML for one song and then I could import it. I couldn't find anything so I just had to manually correct all the tags and then did the Rename Files From Properties to put them in the correct locations.

Is there an easy way that would have fixed this situation?

I don't think there is a built in way, but this might have worked:

In Explorer, move the files to a new location. Then switch the filenames around, put them back into the folder MC knows them to be in, and do an 'Update Tags (from library)'

Hmmm, sounds logical. I might just experiment with that in case it ever happens again.
