USB IDE adapter for disc burning?

Anyone out there using a USB to IDE adapter for burning CD and DVDs with MC11?  I'd like to add a burner to my existing MC11 machine but can only use USB to do it (kiosk style touchscreen machine without drive bays).  So whose adapters are known to work and, perhaps just as importantly, which ones should be avoided?
