Well, I must admit that in your situation it's pretty hard to avoid Iggy Pop and China Girl, right? And on a serious note the best I could think of is from the end of Shrek - Hallelujah, which Rufus Wainwright sings sooo much better than Leonard Cohen's "jazz rap".

I was listening to my mp3 player as I was going to sleep last night.  (With earphones in my ears to drown out my husbands snoring.  A real romantic picture, isn't it?  That's what happens after 29 years of marriage!  )  Anyway, I heard a song that I'd never played before, and your request came immediately to my mind.  It's "Love of My Life" by Jim Brickman and is performed by various artists on his "Destiny", "My Romance," and "My Romance: an Evening with Jim Brickman" cd's.  From a female perspective, I think this would be a gorgoeus song for a first dance.  The melody is beautiful, as are the words.  Here's the lyrics:
