Problem with e-mail buying MJ
« on: October 06, 2002, 06:48:17 pm »

I'm in love with MJ (and my new iPod!) and wanted to pony up the money for the software.  The online form doesn't seem to recognize my .net e-mail address.  Is there a way around this?  I really don't want to use my work e-mail for this kind of stuff.

Ted.

Hi Tim,

Can you mail me (gateley @ jriver.com) your email address that is failing?

Thanks,

Sorry about the name mixup. ...

I sent you a reply in e-mail, if it is not there, please reply here (or via email) to let me know it didn't arrive.

Hi Ted,

The problem is that the e-mail domain does not exist.
If you do  DNS lookup to find the mail server for that domain, it returns:
Sorry, I couldn't find any host named xxxxxxx.net
You must have your domain set up correctly.

Thanks,

j

Bingo!  Turns out I forgot to renew my domain...   :o

Yet another issue to sort out.  Thanks for helping to chase a much larger problem down!
