Smoothness of scrolling thumbnails
« on: March 29, 2006, 11:52:04 am »

This is a bit of a hopeful/unlikely request,
but is there any oportunity for some optimizations
on the scrolling of thumbnails?
I hardly ever see the redrawing of thumbnails anymore
it's so quick, but the scrolling is still very jerky,
even on machines much quicker than mine.
Alternatively could the redrawing be put off
until the scroll is complete or something?

If the teams already spent every waking minute working on
this then forgive my ignorance!

Regular file and thumbnails lists are very fast to scroll.

Next build will have big speedups for grouping-style library lists as well -- making them nearly as fast as regular lists.

I think I meant Tiles not thumbnails, although the words
seemed to have merged recently.
Thumbnails as you said are very fast, however tiles
were jerky.
Look forward to tonights build!
