Can I auto fill tags of files in a playlist?
« on: August 31, 2005, 07:07:21 pm »

I have an autoplaylist that is populated with the 300 most recently imported tracks.

I'd like to be able to see the contents of that playlist in the standard library view (in my case, columns for genre, artist and album, with tracks shown below) instead of the playlist view.

I figure if there's some way to set up a calculated "New Import" tag, so that if a file is in the autoplaylist, the tag is set to contain "yes" (and otherwise "no"), I could achieve this by creating a library view that has a "new import" column.

Can I do what I am contemplating?  I can't figure out how to autofill the tag...

Thanks,

Nolo

EDIT - SOLVED.  I discovered that I didn't have to go through all the stuff with the "New Import" tag.  Instead, I could (and did) just set up a new genre/artist/album view scheme, and in the setup/edit dialog, simply put the "Recently Imported" playlist in the "pick files to show" (step 4) dialog.
