Old bug resurfaced: You can't have 2 decoder streams running at the same time without them interfering with each other.
I thought this was fixed some time ago but either it wasn't or it's back.
- Start playing mp3 files.
- Burn a bunch of mp3 files (not the same mp3 files) in audio mode with "encode mp3 files directly to CD" unchecked.
- Listen to the CD.
- Chuck CD in trash.
As before it sounds like bits of the playback stream are interleaved in the burn stream.
It never worked on multi-cpu machines but this particular machine is a single 1.8ghz cpu.
