Playing Web Music Locks MJ
« on: September 25, 2002, 01:05:15 pm »

I usually play Radiostorm.com all day long...  great!

However, If the connection gets clogged and it has to stop and buffer some more, 90% of the time it dies and stops responding...

I kill it, start it, and move on...

That is getting old...

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tim

Ok, so I guess this wasn't an important enough question and no one wants to answer...  That sux since this is a much better program than the standard crap you get from M$...

Time to move on, thanks for nothing...

The question may be important, but nobody knows the answer.  Sorry.

Thanks for replying...

Has anyone had this problem, or is it just me...

But seriously, it could be that most people don't listen to streaming music with MJ as I do...

Windows XP-Pro(NOT sp1), Duron 1.0G, 384Meg PC133, blah, blah, blah...  Network, Linksys firewall on Digital Cable.

I also have this problem while listening to radioparadise.com.  Sometimes the stream will start stuttering as well.  This happens on 98se and XPHome machines.  It can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes to happen.  It also happens with winamp but usually takes from 2 to 7 hours.  Obviously not a problem related to only MJ, but it would be nice if JRiver could recreate, identify and fix the problem.

Good Luck.

P.S.  As usual, thanks to everyone at JRiver for a great product and keep up the good work.
