Video on MC server
« on: November 01, 2005, 11:21:19 am »

I've set up a server for Video using MC11. When I import the files only about half import into mc (although Mc dosen't say it failed to import any files). Of those that do make it into MC11. I can only play about half on the network. I have added tag info and DVD cover art to the files and the ones that don't play on remote machines only show the cover art when you hit play. all files ary imported the same way, same format, same machine same everything.
what Gives? ?

Make sure the extensions of the ones that aren't getting imported are selected.

Which type videos aren't playing? Some video codecs require transferring the whole video before playback begins...

cdrmaker,

I also struggle streaming video thru MC Server. The files are between 1.4 and 2.2kbps, so bandwith should not really be an issue. Same symptoms: Cover displayed but nothing happens....

Would be great if the JRiver guys would have some ideas what it is.

My files are mp4, both AVS and H264 (AVC) codecs.

My symptoms are the same as BB's.

cover shows but nothing happens. These are all the same type of video files (MPG), all ripped in the same program, on the same machine, with same extinsions.
