« on: November 13, 2005, 03:23:36 pm »

hi,  :)

i own a streamzap, usb, remote controle. and it only works half with mc 11. are there ways to set the way it reacts to certain comands from the remote. in the option menu there is this list for remote controle that looks promising, but i can not get it to work. any ideas?

I don't own that remote, but I believe that it is an X10 remote.  Have you tried using any of the X10 plugins for MC available here?  MC also supports (kind of) Girder plugins, so you could look here.

Another, more obvious, answer would be to either try to program that remote to generate keypresses matching the MC keypresses via the remote's software driver.  Some Remotes include configurable drivers, and some don't.

The third, and most challenging (but probably most rewarding) would be to simply use Girder to assign functions to the remote's keys.
