Song / artist title in menu bar -- any way to do this?

When I have MC minimized, I'd like to be able to see the artist-title either fixed (partial) or scrolling in the MC thingy in my taskbar.

Is this possible?  If not, could this please be considered?  Thanks.

look to the write playing plugin (under interface plugins).  there will be an option to pretty much display whatever you want in the taskbar.

Hey Danrien,

Thanks for the heads-up!  That plugin appears to be exactly what I need!

However, after downloading and installing it (and hitting "start") in the plugin options, I've been unable to figure out how to configure it, and I've also not been able to find any help docs :|.  Any ideas?

If the write playing plugin doeasn't work out for you, I can recommend a slightly different plugin approach whose author checks in often.  Take a look at the "Paradigm Essence"  mini-me plugin from unknownID.  This is a very slim balde GUI that you can enable "always on top" and then hover over the title bar area of your apps, or even the task bar.  The difference is you get a lot more functionality while still keeping MC out of the way.

Marko has also created some nice slim Playing Now skins, They can also be set to always on top.

The difference, is you can use MC in Mega view while seeing the title bar.
