Is Secure Copy Mode Apptly named?
« on: December 03, 2005, 01:31:07 pm »

I'm just wondering if like me anyone else looked at the Secure Copy mode
and thought it was something to stop files being played on other computers
like the "Copy Protect" option in Windows Media Player?

I think this would be more obvious if it were refered to as
"Verify Read Mode"? or something similar..?

The only way I found it was by finding a very old post of Alex B's...

Of course if this is an industry wide thing then just tell me to shut up :)

I think "Secure" mode is an unofficial standard. Very few other ripping engines has a similar mode that really works. In MC it works.

I wasn't even aware I had that in MC (last time I used it to burn something was... well...). What does it do?
