can't modify album/detail scheme introduced in version 190
« on: December 29, 2005, 04:02:51 pm »

Am i missing something, the new feature for album/details in version 190 is stunning, now will be able to print list of any details listed for albums, but i can't see how to modify the columns that are listed in details view. I have like 20 columns showing, some of which have no data like rating and others that i don't want, how can i modify this?

thanks

we really need an "edit details" dialogue else it might not be such a handy option. a full-blown editor that let us pick and choose the details columns would be nice, but if that's asking too much right now, would it be easier to at least let it mirror the columns used in the list view?

also:
the audio icons used in the current details view is that of the non-imported variety, which momentarily threw me. I think, for the sake of consistancy, that if the files are imported, they should alway use the same icon, regardless of where viewed from.

I see that [track #] lists the total number of tracks. It would be nice for [album] to display the number of albums as opposed to <varies>
there a far too many <varies> on show in fact. I can't help feeling that having [file name] there is a waste of space as it will virtually always be <varies>, change it to [file count] and show the number of files in that detail instead.

lots of potential in this new details view, is it up for discussion?
