Rip CDs Song Titles with characters in correctly displayed
« on: March 31, 2006, 11:46:02 am »

When ripping a CD and loads to MC, MC is incorrectly displaying the name of the song when there is a
" ' " in the name like " can't "  or " won't ".  Its being  displayed like " can/'t " or " won/'t ", with the slash.
I've only seen this lately happen.

Thanks,  Skylar

Is it maybe because it's using that "fancy" apostrophe? I wonder if /' is an escape character for that and that's what MC is using.

If you re-type those using just the ' on your keyboard before you rip the CD, does MC still exhibit this behavior?

It must be an escape character of some kind, because I have seen the same thing happen elsewhere.
