Hello, please excuse this noob...

I am currently testdriving MC, and am liking a lot of what i see. Thumbs up to the developers.

One thing that I find a bit troubling is an item that has been brought up before (see: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=26480.0 ), and that is the 'Rating' field and how it gets copied into the ID3 tags. I don't understand why it currently goes into the comment field, as opposed to the 'Popularity'  (or 'Rating' as many tagging programs refer to it as)?

I have two questions:
-What exactly is the reason for putting this info into the 'comment' field of ID3?

-Has anybody written a plugin to parse the comment field and modify the POPM field accordingly?

Please excuse me for bringing this up again, I am simply seeking clarification.

ps. the purist in me does not like the fact that the 'Comment' field gets written to without a clear indication. But that's a minor point...
