Media Center 11.1.34 Alpha
« on: October 13, 2005, 05:34:44 pm »

  • This is a very early alpha of 11.1.
  • There aren't a lot of new features in it yet.
  • It will work with the same MC11 license that 11.0 uses.
  • As always, use at your own risk, and don't make it your first download of MC.

As always, please post ONLY BUGS here -- anything requiring discussion should go in a new thread.  Posts may be deleted or moved.

Media Center 11.1 ALPHA is now available.  PRICES for MC11.0 and 11.1 are here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=23311

The public release version of Media Center 11.0 is available here:
http://www.jrmediacenter.com/download.html (recommended for new users)

This latest build of MC11.1 ALPHA is here:
http://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter111034.exe

MC 11.1.34 (10/13/05)

1. Changed: HDTV's Dynamic Decimation option is no longer selected by default.
2. Changed: Reworked handheld Action Window sync system.
3. Fixed: Several handheld bugs.

MC 11.1.31 (10/6/05)

1. Fixed: Installer could fail to install newer required shared libraries on some systems.

MC 11.1.30 (10/5/05)

1. Fixed: Switching modes (Mini, Standard, etc.) could cause a crash in some cases.
2. Changed: The UPnP Server now requires no configuration of IP address even on multi-homed machines.
3. Changed: Switched display back to Playing Now.
4. Changed: Image of playing file loaded in a background thread. (improves performance with http:// images)
5. NEW: Added "Image" Action Window that tracks the playing file.

I cannot add external drives anymore like it used to be.

Display : The auto coverart display is gone, is this forever ?

We'll take a look.

The plan is to try a hybrid between the first cut (visualizations, movies, etc.) and the second cut. (album art only)  It may be a few builds before it's public.

Thanks.

bennyd,

We've changed the way non-WMDM devices (or customs paths, or external drives) are handled, slightly. They are now referred to as 'Virtual Devices' and they include all devices that are not recognized by WMDM and any drive/directory that you want to set up to mimic a device.

Right click on 'Drives & Devices' and select 'Add Virtual Device'. Once created you can edit the name in place and go to options to set the path to the desired device/drive.

This is a little banged up right now so keep us posted as to how it's working out for you...

Thanks,

Rick

Handheld is working ok as you explained me the first time it's intialized. When starting MC when my Jukebox is connected, it keeps on "Analyzing devices" forever.

Thanks SwellGuy & Matt for the answers

Could anyone please help me?  Since I've upgraded to versin 11.1, I am unable to burn cd's

I just get the message Invalid field in CDb and it spits out the blank cd.

How can I get back to the previous version?
