MC11 shutdown IR command but no suspend?
« on: March 10, 2006, 08:52:51 pm »

G'day guys, I am a bit puzzled.

I have a jukebox pc (an epia-Mii) that I control via an irman. I want to be able to suspend it via an IR command. Should be easy huh :)

Bu there is no suspend command available in the IR command list.  I assume I must be missing something as this is a pretty significant requirement i would have thought more useful than shutdown. You can then wake the PC up again with a vaiety of methods (IR/usb/mouse/LAN/keyboard etc etc).

How can I get access to the suspend command?  Is there any way?

Otherwise I'll need to get Girder to command MC11 and that seems like such a waste as it's get all that I want except for this one thing.

Thanks,
Dav.

Dunno about IRMan coz I don't use it. But if you want to suspend and you're talking Theater View (I assume you are) then you could always add the suspend command to the Theater View main menu (%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0).

Hope this helps.

raym, thanks for that. Novel work around...will try this while I get a solution to the IR command issue.

Any others?
