Moving newly imported files to removable media
« on: April 15, 2006, 07:57:28 pm »

I don't know if this can be done with MC 11.1, but thought I'd ask anyway.

I have a collection of approx. 50 songs (various artist, various genres) that I recently imported into MC.  I'd like to (easily) get these files onto a USB thumbdrive so I can take them to my wife's PC.  I can (and have) created a smartlist of these recently imported songs.  Is there a way, using this smartlist, to copy the files over to this flash memory device?

Right click on drives and devices > Add Device. Under Device Path, find where your USB thumbdrive is (look in my computer).

Once you have this set up, click on it's entry under drives and devices, and then click options (near the top). Select "sync mode ---- playlists", and then choose your recently imported songs smartlist. Then click 'ok'.

Finally, click sync. All your files should now be copied over :)

Absolute perfection.  Thanks a ton.  I had already tried right clicking and using "send to", but the media was not listed and I was not aware that it could be addeed.  Just what I was looking for!!
