Setting a default "default" library?
« on: May 02, 2006, 02:36:32 pm »

Hi!

I'm using Library Server alot. At work and at home, with my laptop. One thing that bothers me greatly is that every time I change location, I must 1) wait for MC to try to find my internal IP when I'm away and 2) wait for MC to load my external domain name, then change the library connection to my internal IP when I'm home.

I have three library settings:
1. Default (local and it's empty)
2. xxx.dyndns.org (desktop computer at home)
3. 192.168.0.xxx (same as above)

What I'd like is for MC to have a real Default library and use that all the time instead of choosing the last used. Much like setting MC to either load last location or a specific on startup in Options.

Is this at all possible?

Thanks alot for a greeeeeaat product!
/Martin

PS. the reason I change between the different library settings is that its much slower connecting to the domain name when at home... DS.

I asked about the same thing a bit over a year ago. Gateley liked the idea back then:
