Stop Error Messages while Converting files
« on: June 06, 2006, 01:52:31 pm »

Hi - I'm in the middle of converting 14,000 uncompressed wav files to FLAC - and in the process, shifting these files to a RAID5 NAS.

Some of these files have been around a while and have corrupted. It's taking a while (days) to convert all these songs - but what's really holding things up is the frequent (1 in 100) error messages. These messages will halt the conversion process until I click ok.

So I try to do a whole bunch of conversions overnight, then wake up to find it's done 10, and then is waiting for an ok. I've limped on through 8,000 tracks - but it's starting to drive me nuts!  ;D

Is there some way to supress these messages? An option setting I've missed, or a registry setting I can change?

It'd be great if someone can let me know! Thanks.

This is somewhat unrelated but I'm running into the same type of problem when using NetRemote to control MC.  Any time a dialog box pops up I have no way of dismissing it from NR.  This renders NR useless untill the dialog is dismissed at the PC running MC.  A MAJOR stumbing block in my opinion.

J River, any way you could add an option to automatically dismiss error windows?  Perhaps a few settings like "do not display", "dismiss after 5 seconds", "normal".
