Has anyone had any success getting an XP Media Center compatible remote control working with MC?

All hints gratefully accepted.   ;D

It should work fine.  Play around with Options > General > Advanced > Media key mode if some of the buttons aren't working.

Thanks Matt... I'll give it a try.  Previously, the only buttons which appeared to work were:

  • play/pause
  • stop
  • volume up/down
  • mute
  • close

Just need the rest of the transport controls to work then I'll be a happy chappy.

Up, down, left, right, and many other buttons simulate keyboard presses, so they should work fine with MC. (especially in Theater View)

I've tried changing the settings to no avail.  Certain settings, not surprisingly, prevent the media keys on my keyboard from working either.

Is there anything I can do to debug the codes that are being sent by the remote control and either configure MC to detect them or alternatively remap them to those expected by MC?

The media remote that I'm using came with my HP PC.  The receiver has the product code "XPC-RC01" on the bottom of the USB receiver.
