You can do that with a spare ipaq PDA that has 802.11 capability and some free software.

A solution in search of a problem methinks.....

What is this free software you speak of. Perhaps I need a copy.

It looks like Logitech is using its own software to catalog and play your files; it doesn't look like you can use MC with this hardware.

I can see myself giving this Logitech thing a try if it supports the lossless file formats I use-- APE and FLAC. I also fear it may require you to use Windows Media Player, Musicmatch or itunes;that would kill it for me. My harddrive hasn't felt the touch of such filth.

oh, cool - I wouldn't mind to play with that... could you let us know the name of that software. Is it as configurable as Promixis?

Wow. Nice remote. REALLY nice design. But a bit limited in use I guess.

You can use Netremote and girder with a PDA. Would give you endless posibilities. But it's not free though.

I'm drooling over a Philips TSU7000 now. Only minus is that it don't have 802.11 built in :(
I actually bought one 1 month ago. The son of a person ripped me off. He spoofed a ebay auction mail. Never thought I'd go for that one. 600$ down the drain. LOL.

Think I'm ending up with a nice PDA next time. Cheaper too...
