replay gain
« on: November 12, 2006, 12:04:17 pm »

After reading the topics on RG, I'm still confused since it does not work for me. When I click on DSP Studio's Replay Gain, nothing changes. I do think that I'm missing one step. Could someone just get me the "RG for dummies" stepwise instruction to play all songs at equal level without loud bursts and silent deafness ... ?

have you run the "analyse audio" tool on your audio files? (right click > library tools > analyze audio)

MC will then store the values needed by replay gain for each track. It will not alter the file itself. The volume adjustment is made on-the-fly at playback time.

I think that's the bit I was missing. I'll start doing this immediately, and I'm quite (99.99 %) sure this will do the job!

THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
