OT: Personal Homepage?
« on: November 15, 2006, 07:48:01 pm »

This is quite off topic but you guys are smart and might have an answer!
I made a personal homepage which we use as our home page but it is quite outdated.  I have the skill to create a nice site with lots of features for our small computer base, but just don't have the time to devote at the moment.

Are there any ready made, highly customizable web sites with simple features such as very limited notes, links, weather displaying, etc.?

I've considered just using a Word Press blog but cannot seem to get it running on my server.

If you don't mind using a service rather than your own site blogspot or wordpress.com might be of interest to you.

"highly customizable"? I'd insist a little more to try installing wordpress on my server... I guess this is not very helpful, but wordpress is far more customizable than wordpress.com.

I changed my mind.  I'm writing my own site from the ground up.  I'm also learning CSS so this site can be Web 2.0.
