Hi Zevele,
I just downloaded the full version of Netscape 7.0 and just as the previous 6.2 version it hangs when I go into E-Mail. I'm considering going back to Mozilla 1.0. Have you encountered any such problems with Netscape 7.0? The reason I ask is because I seem to recall you using it or the PR1 version.

Which Email?
If you set your ISP and other pop3 emails,it can be ok.
But you can have a lot of problems getting your @netscape.net email[!!!!!!!!}

At this time with still 7.01 light[less all the aol s--t],i have 3 pop-up and 2 @netscape.net.

The main pop-up is my ISP email ,the 2 others are Yahoo mail.
-Yahho mail .com=US do not allow you to check Yahoo from an other program like Outlook-Eudora-Netscape.mail.

But any Yahoo France,Germany,and more still let you do it and give you 6 mb email instead of the 4 mb in US.

I had problem when setting out server with my ISP out server.Setting to Yahoo out sever ALL my pop3 solved the problem.
According to you email adress,look like you have more than one email.So ,just try.



I do not have that much to say about Netscape 7.In fact i have it because of Netscape mail.
As soon as i have clean and forward my 2 netscape.mail,i will use Mozilla.

I do not use it because ZoneAlarm pro block pop-up and cookies manager does not work with 7,some Yahoo services do not work as well,and many other softwares do not work.
So nothing to do with the browser.Beside this Netscape.com is worst than RealNetwork.
The other problem with Netscape mail is virus checking.NOT so many programs work with it.
I have a tip about it.
I do see Opera as the only alternative to IE.
But i have hard time to feel home with Opera.

Any musical news from you bass player\kid?
I think i will start again bass guitar....and keep long hairs and get some tatoos...............

No, I don't have them and I sure would like them.

My daughter is doing OK, School will start again this week and the band will start playing around the campus yards again. All of a sudden Netscape doesn't freeze up anymore. It may be due to the skin that was previously on it, It had opened up with the Mozilla 1.0 skin that I had on even though I had uninstalled Mozilla before I installed Netscape 7.0. I changed to Netscape 7.0 Modern look and all of a sudden all the problems went away. I have quite a few email addresses and I do use a Netscape email address which is why I had to install Netscape. I was previously able to look at my Netscape email with Mozilla but once the final version of Netscape came out I couldn't access it any longer. Now even the Mozilla website states that in order to access Netscape email you must install 7.0
Man, I hate AOL, ever since they took over everything has gone to hell. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.. I worked for Time Warner for over 12 years and when AOL came in, everything crashed! I don't even want to talk about the bath that I've taken with AOL/Time Warner Stocks.. all those years down the drain. I think I'll go have another beer....

Hi Zevele,

I don't know if I need adblocker, as I don't see any ads on Netscape 7.0. It is nothing like Opera, the ads on that browser were driving me crazy. I've been tweaking Netscape and so far it's pretty good. I uninstalled java j2re-1.4.1 (which is unstable on my system besides being a resource hog) and installed j2re 1.3.1 and everything seems pretty solid. I also like Netscape radio which is based on Spinner.. not a bad job at all

Not a bad job at all,you are right.

But not enought after the 6 disaster to stand up again.

I do not use it anymore since long.To much programs still not working with it,included ZoneAlarm Pro.
Now that there is a final product,things may change.

Concerning the ads-free email,close Netscape 100%.DO NOT FORGET to disable quick launch before running the ads free email program.
