Here's what i want to do:
--Choose two or three albums (maybe new stuff i just got) and throw them into PN.
--Shuffle them--but so that (as much as possible) PN doesn't play two songs from the same artist in a row.

I've been messing around with some of the Search Modifiers, and it seems like a combo of those would be close, but i just can't quite figure it out.

You'll have to hand-tune the shuffle to make that happen.  A shuffle followed by some quick drag-n-drop in Playing Now should make relatively quick work of it.

This is similar to the Wish List requests for:
"No more than X songs from an artist every Y minutes", and
Clubbing

These require multiple pass sorting.
