Wouldn't it be nice if Media Center had automatic background updating like Firefox? I was thinking that there could be an auto-update setting. Then, whenever an update was available, it would automatically download it in the background and popup a message when done downloading, like Firefox does, saying that you can restart MC now and update or update when you close MC.
It would be great if it could somehow use bittorrent to get the file, too. Background updating doesn't need to be speedy by any means, either. I wouldn't mind if it took an hour to download (when manually downloading could take 3 minutes) because on our less uses computers, I don't update often and later I realize how many features are missing (since it's an older version). One advantage to my system is that I only download the file once, save it to my server, and then install it on other computers whenever I get the chance.
