Vista - MC not deleting 'empty' folders
« on: March 16, 2007, 05:10:46 pm »

MC is no longer deleting 'empty' folders under Windows Vista.  Vista shows the folders as 'empty' (nothing in the folder and hovering over the folder gives a fly-out saying it is empty, but it appears that they still contain the system thumbnail file so MC doesn't see them as 'empty'.

I'm pretty sure the same thing happens with XP.  I was doing a lot of renaming of files awhile back, which was moving the files.  Many of the folders were not deleted.  Upon checking they had thumbnail files - so technically they were not empty.

I understand why it is happening, just asking if MC can treat the folder as empty if only the thumbnail files are left (like Windows does).

I agree with that.  It would make it a lot cleaner solution.
