Visualization ? and Sending Music Files to my CLie ?
« on: August 27, 2002, 05:56:11 am »

Hi 2 questions...
1)) When I use MEdia Jukebox to send my files to the Clie, it is so SLOW!  It takes over 1 minute per song in the transfer, much slower then if I just transfer using Sony's software...  Is this just due to the amount of memory MJ takes to run?

2) Is there any hope of supporting Winamp visualizations (avs)?  I know I have asked this a lot and I lack an answer.  MJ is the perfect way to organize a collection...  But every once in  awhile I use Winamp and am blown away by the visualizations.  Don't get me wrong, MJ is good, but Winamp has some amazing stuff (such as the Elvis collection for example)

thnaks,
dave

ps...
did you know MJ is listed as one of the 5 must have apps for a new pc?

I use MSImport to put the files on my memory stick.  It's very fast.

I do that too...
I was just wondering why its so much slower in MJ...
The advantage of MJ over MS Import is that you could add playlists, etc...

But Media Jukebox is S L O W
I just wasnt sure if anybody knew how slow it was or why

And how bout winamp avs support?!!  :)

Dave,

I have not been able to reproduce the slowness you reported with the Sony Clie here at JRiver. I will keep trying. Can anyone else who uses the Clie duplicate what Dave is seeing?
