New to the forums but until now all jriver programs I have use have exceeded my requirements in managing all my music. I recently purchased a new LG vx9900 phone and when have my phone plugged into to usb and in sync mode if I open Media Center it locks up my phone, not a big deal can be restored by removing the battery. For now I have to use that junk Windows Media to sync with my cell phone. So anyway to the question.... is there something I am doing wrong or does Media Center not currently support Verizon V Cast phones?

Are you using the latest build of MC12?

Explore the handheld options for that device (set one up if necessary) and try using WMDM transfer.  That's pure Microsoft.  Windows Media Device Manager.

thanks for the help, so it is seeing it as an LG chocolate and that's when the phone goes into some blue screen with just  LG VX9900 on it, tried setting media center to ignore that device and set it up manually but since this does not show up as a drive or anything I'm not sure what the path would be. here is my system Info and phone model

Did you find a WMDM option for the device?  (In MC Handhelds options)

It's not there.

Try editing the PDT.XML file in this directory:
C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 12\Data\Default Resources

Here's a sample entry:

It needs to be in the right section.

Try it first.  If it doesn't work try changing this line:
<UseWMDM>0</UseWMDM>
to
<UseWMDM>1</UseWMDM>

Ok I'm not 100% sure on what you want me to edit, since when I plug it in it pulls up a drag and drop box that say Chocolate by LG I am assuming the one it is using is

If you redetect the devices, does the phone show up? (Options > Handheld)

Perhaps you could email a log to rick at jriver dot com after doing this so we can see how the program is identifying the phone.
