I can sync my music, and the songs all transfer, but the playlists do not show up on the ipod under playlist.  never had aproblem with MC11. 

Help please

Me too, iPod Video player. I've been searching. Is there an answer posted somewhere?

It works fine for me.

I sync my iPod using both smartlists and playlists. In both cases the music and the playlist are transfered to the iPod with no problems.  I see them under Playlists.

In case it matters, my PC is XP and my iPod is the 5.5g 80gb device.

Sure.  I have my iPod set up to sync based on smartlists and playlists. I do not manually sync the iPods. 

1) I set up my smartlists and playlists
2) Attach iPod and set up options. Under options I set up my sync list. I'm checking the smartlsists and playlists I set up here.
3) Sync iPod
4) eject iPod.

Now on the iPod, I go to Music-->Playlists - the smartlists and playlists show up here.

Ahhhh, so in order to "transfer" a playlist intact as a playlist you have to check it off under "options" for the device. I was selecting the playlist from the tree and rightclicking "send to" and then picking my iPod. My method transferred th songs within the playlist but didn't send them as part of a playlist.

Would be a cool (and intuitive) feature if MC would pop-up and ask "Send items as playlist" when I did it my way. From reading the posts, I think a lot of people were making the same assumption when you choose "send to".
