Help file search makes playback slow?

Weird. 

On my AMD X2 with Cool n Quiet active, when I hit enter after typing a string into the search in the help file, playback of audio runs at about half speed.  Slow and low...

My Intel laptop however is perfectly fine with searching the help file while playing audio.

Weird?
