License problem
« on: October 01, 2007, 07:59:00 pm »

I have downloaded the new media centre 12.

I get a box that tells me to restore.

have sent the email in fact i sent the darn email 3 times and now only have 7 restores left and each time i put the code in the required box it tells me it is the wrong code?

What's up with that?

Media Center 12 requires a different code than Media Center 11.

You can use this page to get all your codes emailed to you:

What Matt said: except also the code for MC12 and Media Jukebox 8 is different.

You can find out about upgrades and purchases here in our FAQ:

What you purchased was Media Jukebox 8. You have up to 10 restores a year available for that, in case you lose your license for some reason.

Since we made Media Jukebox 8, there's been Media Center 9, Media Center 10, Media Center 11, and Media Center 12. Each one is a new product and requires a new purchase of a license. We do have upgrade pricing for customers who have purchased previous versions.

If you want to switch from using Media Jukebox 8 to Media Center 12, you will need to purchase a new license. Or you can continue to use MJ8.

Hope this helps...

Yes it does.

I do not know however why I keep getting a purchase now order.

It has been a long time since i installed MC and I have no idea which was the orginal one i think it was MC 8.

I uninstalled the MC 12 and tried to reinstall 8 now i have nothing on my machine.  **sigh**

The only purchase I have for the e-mail address you used to register for this forum is for Media Jukebox 8. I also tried searching based on your name (from the MJ 8 purchase) and found nothing similar.
