From what I know, it sounds like they are working on video conversion at the moment.  They may be adding some re-encoding on the fly for network video transferring and Jim said that would lead to more general conversion, potentially, for portable devices and that would mean just the video re-encoding task.

Recently To Convert Video I First Had To:

1. Copy From VHS To DVD Format.
2. Convert DVD To AVI With Pinnacle Studio 11 Did A Bit Of Editing (The Program Is Not All That Great)
3. Converted The AVI File To flv Using SWISHVideo2 So It Could Be Streamed From The Internet

It Would be Nice If There Was One Program That Could Do All Of This.

As Of Yet I Have Not Seen One.

Something that would be very interesting would be to be able to choose video format and bitrate.
I'm using a cellphone as a walkman as it's very easy to bring it everywhere with it, but it's not very powerfull. Being able to chose something like mp4, 176x144 & 300Kbps is what I need when converting videos to this one (psp's mp4 settings are way too big). I hope it will be available!

By the way super is really great. It can convert anything you can play through direct show (you can choose provided codecs or use what your system provide with direct show).
