"albumtype=incomplete"
« on: October 08, 2007, 12:45:07 pm »

OK, this feature is excellent.  Of course, it completely corrupts the anal-retentives like me.  I have found lots of missing music, still trying to narrow down where these songs went to. I am trying to find out if moving from a standard system to a NAS caused some of this, or whether it was some other variable.

However, I have a handful of albums that show up in this filter and they look correct.  I have gone through every one and I can't seem to find the issue.  I have gone in, updated all the tags and still nothing.  In the MC tag editor I don't see <varies> in any of the fields I would deem critical.

I've checked:

Artist name
Album name
Disk #
Track #
File path
Genre

Everything checks out.  What are the vairables that this command looks at to determine if it passes the check?

Some of the most common problems I have found:

1. Actual song missing
2. Track #'s are wrong
3. Disk number field (all my multi-disk collections are in done directory with 1-50 type numbering)
4. Songs were actually there, but one ended up in a different directory.
5. Album name truncated (or an extra space somewhere on one song)
6. Artist name inconsistent for some reason
