Change of files location
« on: November 04, 2007, 09:53:22 pm »

I have just recently changes the location of all my files without using J. Rivers Media Center.  All the files are showing up as not found.  The location of the files were in "//homeserver/z/music/[music folders and files]".  However they are now in "//server/z/music/[music folders and files]/".  How do i tell J. Rivers Media center that all the files locations has changes.  Basically I just need to change it from saying //homserver/ to //server/.

What can I do?

1. Disable the Auto-Importer in Tools > Auto Import Options... > Options > Run auto-import in background.

2. Select the files you want to change.

3. Right-click > Library Tools > Find and Replace...
Tick only the Filename Path field,
    Find what: //homeserver/
    Replace: //server/

Naturally you should have your back ups up-to-date and you may want to try a few files before changing the complete library.
