Picture details
« on: December 05, 2007, 04:52:20 pm »

When I open a picture file from Windows and MC shows it is there an easy way to show the info/tags for that photo from the photo display view panel?

The scenario I'm running into is that I'm using the side panel photo gadget in Vista. It is randomly showing photos. Sometimes one will come up that I want to see larger. So, I click the button to do so and it is shown in MC. So far, so good. But, from MC I can't find a way to see which photo is playing; like what the filename is or what the tags are.

You can configure a caption to play with images here:
Options > Playback > Image playback settings...

If you leave full screen, you could view Playing Now or the Tag Action Window to see more information.

Thanks.

I already have the caption configured, but sometimes I want to see more info than it shows.

Can I enter a request to have some other command/hotkey to bring up an info window for the current photo? The popup window for when you hover on a photo would be nice. Of course since the photo is being shown the popup doesn't need the photo again, just the detailed info.
