How to disable multimedia keyboard commands
« on: December 14, 2007, 11:24:41 am »

I have a Microsoft multimedia keyboard that I use to control my primary music application, foobar2000.  But I also have JRMC11 running in server mode in the background to support a Netgear music player in another room.

When I use the keyboard multimedia keys, foobar responds but MC also does and pops up a window saying "Warning - There is nothing to play".  I'd like to stop MC from doing this.

Similarly, I'd like to stop MC from taking any action when I plug in my USB keydrive or when I insert a CD.  Is this possible?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Did you try to set Options>General>Advanced>Media key mode to "Disabled"?

For CD and DVD it has the "do nothing" options in Options>CD>Media Insert...

I am not sure about USB drives. MC doesn't pop-up anything for me, but I have tried to disable all kinds of "Auto runs" on the OS level.
