hi there thanks for reading my post.

I want a view that will display all files that have no Artist or Album.

I have tried creating a view with a rule...

Album....Is....(empty)

But it doesnt work, any idea folks please

Try:

[Artist]=[] or [Album]=[]


That shows me all files that either an empty Artist field, an empty Album field, or both.

and is implied and not needed...
try wrapping your 'or' rule in parenthesis, it should work then...

works for me.
I clicked on Audio in the top left of the tree, then entered: [Media Type]=[Audio] ([Artist]=[] or [Album]=[]) ~sort=[Date],[Name] into the search bar (top right of MC)

Can you tell us where you are entering the search rule?
