Switching views and saving your browse
« on: May 27, 2008, 10:23:28 am »

Lately I have had to learn how MC handles the search and the switch to another another scheme from a non-top-level point. Since I haven't done a lot of this is the past year, I have found the current setup to be unintuitive.

For example, in Pane mode I browse "deep" into my library, and then decide I want to view this location in Tile mode....MC refreshes to a unique and top-level Tile view.

Same with the search, after location some results, if you switch to another type of view you lose that search.

This happens to me a lot in Pane mode. But even when in Tile mode with the file list visible below, a user might highlight a bunch of tiles and want to view the data (without playing it) via the custom Panes they have setup.

I know there are some workarounds and it takes getting used to, but I'm hoping that this could be a user defined option; a toggle between the current method and the one i'm implicitly suggesting here would be great.
