I noticed the new 12.0.49 has the option to check a box so that it will associte with  .ram, .ra, .rm, .rp, .rmm, .rmx, .smi, .smix, .rmj files. It does not do so, at least with .rm and .ram
And apparently there is no codec or plugin that fixes this problem
