Files
« on: October 06, 2008, 02:59:48 am »

Hi,

Can someone tell me how to fix my library.

Some of my files are not showing in the library. How do I get them in without having to delete thew library and importing again.

When I import it tells me that it has skipped some files and cant import others.

Cheers

I'm not sure, but maybe this can help:

Go to File -> Library -> Import Folder. In the upcoming window you should be able to select "Advanced >>". If you uncheck the option to ignore previously removed files nothing should be skipped any more. To be sure you may have a look at the filetypes being selected to import above.

Hope this helps...

It only will, if you have dublicates physically on your Hardisk you removed from MCs library previously. There was a bug longer time ago in MC12 which causes dublicates in library with the setting I recommended, but this should have been fixed in the past...

To be absolutly sure you should do a Backup using File -> Library -> Back Up Library... If ANYTHING is wrong after doing an import you can easy go back to the old state using File -> Library -> Restore Library....

I'm not absolutly sure, but when import is done, there appears a window with some infos. If you select "Show in-depth summary" down left in this window the 6 not imported files should be listed anywhere within the report...
